“The Rookie” Star Melissa Shares Experience From Recent Workshop

Melissa the rookie

ABC’s “The Rookie” Star Melissa O’Neil is one of our favorite stars to follow on social media because she’s always sharing fun events with the fans!

Melissa just attended a new workshop and shared her experience.

She shared;

“Spent a sweet and windy Saturday with @april_valencia of @masamemory at @zuma_canyon_orchids at her Masa Y Tamal workshop, learning about how to make Masa and Tamales!

It is always a treat to be around April’s enthusiasm and energy. If you have the opportunity to learn from her and eat with her – I highly recommend seizing the moment! This was her first Tamal workshop in Los Angeles and her stewardship and generous sharing of these family traditions are infused with care and heart.
Please check her out!
Supporting April and Masa Memory is money and time well spent because she takes great care to put the money back into the stream with those who are caring for these traditions, the health of our soil and foods and – in these ways – our future!

“MASA MEMORY, a traditional kitchen based in Los Angeles, California, is an homage to food practices that came before us, passed down and learned. The food we eat growing up influences us throughout our lifetime. Food is alive, the memory and story live beyond the kitchen and a shared meal with loved ones. […] Masa Memory is donating a large percentage of the workshop profits to our partnering farmers and farms in Arizona, Mexico and California. We will continue to advocate for and share about Ancestral Farming Practices, Seed Saving and Family Food Traditions.”

“Zuma Canyon Orchids
A regenerative farm, educational center, apothecary, and a center for the arts. Regeneratively raising a mix of livestock, vegetables, and over 50 varieties of fruit trees. With a goal to enhance soil health, while utilizing minimal outside inputs.”
Big thank you to Jeff @naturalresources from ZCO for the walkabout and chat. It was really cool to see the different ways they are working with the land there. Mulched Invasives, Avocado Trees and Coffee Plants, California Live Oaks, Macadamia Nut Trees and Natives – Oh My!”

Love this!

Jones, Melissa O’Neil, Eric Winter, and Jenna Dewan join Fillion among the cast.

ABC boasts “The Rookie” as the No. 1 show among Adults 18-49 this season in its new Tuesday night programming block at 8 p.m. After making the transition in January, the series has seen an increase of 40% in Total Viewers and by 17% in the key 18-49 demo over the previous season’s comparable weeks. Additionally, the drama is up almost 6 times over its initial Live+Same Day rating in Adults 18-49 with a lift of 426% after 35 days of multiplatform viewing — meaning the series currently bests its prior season by 6% in Total Viewers and by 9% among Adults 18-49 after delayed multiplatform viewing.
